Membership is available to anyone over 14 years of age, and is valid from April
1 annually. New members joining the Society between 1 April and 31 December will
receive all back issues of publications for the year, SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY.
Those joining between 1 January and 31 March will only receive publications
issued after they join, but their membership will be continued to 31 March of
the following year without further payment.
The main benefits of membership are of
course the two publications; others are the
access to local Area Groups, where such exist, Society
visits and special events and availability of back issues of both publications
at nominal cost (£1 for standard issues of TNG, 25p for NGN, plus p&p). Other
Sales Items include binders.
Another major benefit of membership is of
course access to the Society Library for research
purposes, and the ability to air questions via the columns of Narrow Gauge News
for comment by the 'experts' amongst us. Even the most obscure of lines should
have someone in the ranks with detailed knowledge.

Rates apply to members receiving publications by second class
and surface mail. Air mail is £17.00 extra for members in Australia, New Zealand
and Japan, £15 for the rest of the world outside Europe. Payments must be by cash or sterling
cheque, crossed, payable to 'Narrow Gauge Railway Society'.

print out a current
Membership Form (if you right click on the link, you may print out the form
directly) and send the completed form, together with a cheque/P.O. made payable
to NGRS, to
the Membership Secretary, whose name appears at
the bottom of the form.
The NGRS advise you that a
computer listing of membership exists for postal purposes showing only your name
and address. This list will not be transferred to anyone outside the NGRS and we
are therefore exempt from registration under the Data Protection Act.
